Participation #1 Electronic Direct Democracy.

Yes, I would like for our democracy in the United States to be electronically direct. I believe by doing so citizens will be able to be strongly involved in the concerns of the nation. Citizens will take all kinds of important decisions and the not so important as well. The main point it's for our country to be involved and actually take part in what's going on in the United States.
I would contact the experts on this matter to unable the system. There will be a lot of points to talk about and steps to take regarding an “electronic method.” One of the biggest things to consider is security. Our nation has always been very careful about doing their things with top secret label. I'm sure they can come up with something to make the system safe and secure.
My next concern is, would the government really do this? I don't think so. Yes, we see a lot of obstacles to go through when talking about “electronic direct democracy.” We can come up with so many issues that our nation would encounter while trying to implement this system. Some of them for example will be older people, mentally unstable people, hackers, somebody paying another person for their vote, and even drunk people why not. These people would have access to their electronic voting with it seconds. Do we really want this? I still don't know.
My concern, honestly, it's the government itself. Why? Because we don't know if the Government really wants this kind of democracy to be implemented. I think before even trying to do any of these things we should be more educated in our government, not because we want an A, but because this is our country and we have the power to do what is best us as citizens.
In conclusion, of course the electronic direct system would be great. There are a lot of pros and cons but we are intelligent people, I’m sure we can come up with a solution concerning all of the flaws that the system could have.
